FAQ 1 : General terms of use

This website, including all the individual webpages (hereinafter ‘the pages'), which are the property of Heracles General Cement Company, a member of Lafarge Group (hereinafter 'the Company'), aims to introduce the Company and its affiliated Companies (hereinafter ‘the Group') to the general public, via the Internet.

 

Visitors / users of the Company's pages should consent to the following terms of use, which apply to all the content, pages, graphics, images, pictures and files contained in the website. Therefore, they must read these terms carefully before visiting or using the Company's pages. If they disagree, they must stop visiting the pages and making use of their content.

Nothing on this website should be construed as constituting a proposition of sale or purchase. All products, processes and programs presented on the website www.lafarge.gr are not necessarily available in all countries. Consequently, the user of this website agrees to exercise his own responsibility when using this information.

The Company is bound only by a best-endeavors obligation concerning the information it makes available to visitors to its website, www.lafarge.gr.

While every effort has been made to ensure the reliability of the information contained on this website, the Company may not be held liable for any errors, omissions or outcomes that may result from using this information. In particular, hypertext links on our site may lead users to information contained on other servers, over which the Company has no control and consequently is not liable for their content and for whatever damage may occur from their usage.

Stock market data in the Shareholders section is provided by external third parties. The Company cannot be held responsible for inaccurate, delayed or interrupted data with regard to the stock price quoted on its website.

The website www.lafarge.gr is normally accessible 24 hours a day and 7 days a week. In case of circumstances outside the Company's control, difficulties associated with information systems or with telecommunications networks, other technical issues, or for maintenance - this list is not exhaustive - the Company may decide to suspend or interrupt access to all or part of the site.

FAQ 2 : Privacy policy

The Company keeps records only of the personal data sent by visitors / users solely for communication, statistical and financial purposes and for improvement of the services - information provided by the website. For the same purposes, the Company may process part or the whole of the above-mentioned data.

 

The Company safeguards the personal character of the visitors' / users' data and may not disclose such data to any third party (legal or physical entity) for any reason, with the exception of any relevant provisions of law and only to the competent authorities.

 

Visitors / users can contact the Corporate Communication Department of the Company, in order to check the existence of personal records and request the correction, modification or removal thereof.

 

The Company does not intend to collect any Personal Identification Information from children. However, if children provide Personal Identification Information to us, their parents or legal guardian should request from the Company to delete this information from its files by sending us an email at webmaster.lafarge@lafarge.gr. We will use all reasonable efforts to delete children's information from our files.

Tracking techniques may be used on our web site as a means of enhancing your navigational experience. You have a right to access, delete and modify any personal data collected in this way. Any personal information collected is destined for use by the Company and Company's  partners. The Company will never share a user's personal data with any third party, unless the user himself specifically requests this. The Company deletes users' IP addresses six months after their last visit to the site.

A session cookie is created when you visit the www.lafarge.com website. Cookies record information about your visit to our site (pages visited, date and time of visit, etc.) on your computer's hard drive. This information can be used during your next visit to the website. This cookie remains on your computer for 30 minutes. You can block these cookies by modifying the security parameters of your browser (for example, Tools / Options on Microsoft Explorer 6).

 


FAQ 3 : Limitation of the Company’s liability

Under no circumstances, including the case of negligence, shall the Company be liable for any sort of damage incurred by the visitors / users of the pages from their usage, as all information is provided for general guidance only. If visitors / users intend to utilise by any means the information provided in the pages, they must first contact the Company's Communication Department (email: info@lafarge.gr, tel: 210 2898498, fax: 210 2819251), which will provide them with up-to-date and accurate information, as long as they are entitled to such information.

 

The contents of the pages are provided "as is", without any warranty, whether express or implied by any means. The Company use all reasonable efforts to but does not warrant that the provision of pages, services, options and contents will be uninterrupted; error free or that defects will be corrected immediately. Furthermore, the Company does not warrant that this or any other website or the servers that make these available to visitors / users are free of viruses or bugs.

 

Under no circumstances, does the Company warrant the correctness, completeness or/and availability of the contents, pages, services, options or their results.

 


FAQ 4 : Intellectual and industrial property rights

Apart from the expressly mentioned exceptions (copyrights of third parties, associates and organisations), all the content of the pages, including images, graphics, pictures, designs, texts, provided services and all files of this website in general, constitute copyrights, trademarks and service marks of the Company or of other companies of HERACLES G.C.C. Group of companies and are protected under the relevant provisions of Greek and European legislation and international conventions. Therefore, none of the above may be, partially or as a whole, sold, copied, modified, reproduced, republished, downloaded, broadcasted or distributed by any means.

 

This does not apply in the case of saving a unique copy of a part of the content in a plain computer only for personal and not public or commercial use, without removing any indication of its Company origin and without breaching by any means the relevant intellectual and industrial property rights.

 

Any other distinctive features, products or services referred to in the electronic pages of this website and bearing the trademarks of the respective organisations, companies, associated bodies or publications, constitute intellectual and industrial property of the latter, who are therefore responsible for them.

 

You are also prohibited from introducing data by whatever means to the Lafarge website www.lafarge.gr that would modify or be likely to modify the content or appearance of the data, the presentation or organization of the site, or the works featured on the Company's website.

 


FAQ 5 : Links to other websites

The Company has no control over the availability, content, privacy policy, quality and completeness of services of other websites and pages accessible from its site via hyperlinks or banners. Any reference is made solely for facilitating the contact of visitors / users of the Company's pages with the competent parties for the provision of additional information where appropriate. Therefore, in order to acquire reliable information and for any problem that may arise while visiting / using these websites and pages contact must be made directly with the respective  websites and pages and with the owners thereof who are bearing the relevant responsibility. Under no circumstances should it be considered that the Company approves or accepts the content or services of the linked websites or that it is related to them by any means whatsoever.

 


FAQ 6 : Applicable law and other terms

The above-mentioned terms and conditions of using the pages, as well as any amendment, change or alteration thereof, are governed and completed by the Greek and European law and the relevant international conventions. If any provision of the above terms is in conflict with the law, it ceases ipso jure to apply and it is removed without prejudice to the validity of the other terms.
