CEM IΙ / B-Μ (W-L) 32.5 R

It is a Portland composite cement with fly ash and limestone of high early strength suitable for all building applications (civil engineering projects, buildings, ready-mix concrete and concrete products).

It is a Portland composite cement with fly ash and limestone suitable for all building applications (civil engineering projects, buildings, ready-mix concrete and concrete products).

In comparison to CEM I, it has lower heat of hydration and better chloride resistance properties. CEM II / B-M (W-L) 32.5 R is a cement of strength class 32.5 (MPa), high early strengths (type R), conforms to the requirements of ELOT EN 197-1, is certified by an independent certification body and carries CE marking.

Applications

Structural concrete.

Marine and sea side concrete.

Mass concrete in which low heat hydration cement is needed to minimize thermally induced stresses.

For all building applications.

Properties

Grey color.

Uniform product.

Low water demand.

Excellent concrete workability retention.

Compatible with all concrete chemical admixtures.

Availability

CEM II / B-M (W-L) 32.5 R is available in bulk in all Greece.

Storage

The bulk product should be stored in closed silos.

Conditions of use

CEM II / B-M (W-L) 32.5 R can be used in the vast majority of concrete strength categories under all durability exposure classes.

For the best performance of CEM II / B-M (W-L) 32.5 R in concrete and mortars, it is necessary to make trial mixes to determine the optimum proportion of the raw materials. All raw materials should be of adequate quality, well mixed in the right proportions with the optimum amount of water. Adequate compaction and curing of wet mortars and concrete are particularly important. Care should be taken so to apply the best practices for concreting and curing under hot and cold weather respectively. The surface of the finish concrete depends strongly among others, to the experience of the technical personnel and their familiarity with the materials and application methods.

Technical Support

Enhanced Cements

Heracles GCCo, pioneer in the differentiation of cement products in the Greek market, offers to the market the new enhanced reactivity cement series HeraclesTM Ενισχυμένο and BasisTM Ενισχυμένο. Driven by innovation for the development of materials and solutions for the construction sector, Heracles has implemented, for the first time in Greece, the innovative technology of separate grinding in the cement production.

Industrial ecology

How to create value from waste

Large amounts of natural resources, particularly minerals and fossil fuels, are used to manufacture cement. For many years the Group has been working to reduce the environmental impact of its activities by finding ways to obtain value from waste products.
