Volos Plant

Volos plant is Heracles's biggest cement plant and one of the most important units of Lafarge, with a cement production capacity of more than 4.5 million tons per year. Located 4 kilometres away from the city of Volos, its history dates back to 1924. The plant's proximity with the city calls for great sensitivity regarding environmental protection and respect for the local communities.

Milaki Plant

The Milaki plant is located nearby Aliveri in South Evia. It was founded in 1982 and is the most modern plant of Heracles, with an annual cement production capacity of 2.2 million tons. The production line design and the technology applied to process control have enabled the Milaki plant to respond to international market requirements for specific standards cement.

Halkis Plant

The Halkis plant was established in 1926 and is located at Mikro Vathy, Avlida, close to the ancient temple of goddess Artemis, at 1 km. from Halkis. The plant's proximity with the city calls for great sensitivity regarding environmental protection and respect for the local communities.

How to create value from waste

Large amounts of natural resources, particularly minerals and fossil fuels, are used to manufacture cement. For many years the Group has been working to reduce the environmental impact of its activities by finding ways to obtain value from waste products.
