HERACLES Group donates a vehicle for the fire protection of the Municipality of Penteli
True to its commitment to the protection of the natural environment and the substantial support of communities, HERACLES Group is donating a vehicle to the Municipality of Penteli in order to actively contribute to the increased requirements for the protection of the area from wildfires.
Specifically, acknowledging the urgent need to strengthen the fire safety plans of communities for the protection of the forest ecosystem, HERACLES Group is granting a 4x4 vehicle to the Municipality of Penteli, following last summer’s devastating wildfires. It thus helps to facilitate the access of fire-fighting equipment to the forest, substantially enhancing the fire protection of Mount Penteli.
“I warmly thank HERACLES Group for this donation to our Municipality. It is a significant reinforcement of the Civil Protection equipment, which is, along with the new state-of-the-art Operations Centre and the digital upgrade of the Mount Penteli monitoring system, part of the actions we have taken to preserve the green and the forest, as well as to protect our fellow citizens from urgent phenomena,” said Ms. Dimitra Kechagia, Mayor of Penteli.
Ms. Evi Ioannidou, Communication & Public Relations Manager at HERACLES Group, stated: “It is with a heightened sense of responsibility and offering that we are donating this vehicle, in order to contribute to the enhanced fire protection of the forest environment and the rapid response to any wildfires on Mount Pentelikon. Our main concern is to support the needs of communities, recognizing and offering solutions to the challenges posed by the climate crisis.”
