Waste Management

Effectively managing our waste means reducing and recycling construction and demolition waste. As part of our circular economy approach, we strive to reduce the use of natural resources. We are committed to sustainable construction waste management practices, incorporating recycled and recarbonated material into our products, thus reducing landfill and building better with less.

During the first stage we exhaust the possibilities of “internal management” of the waste materials and then follow the disposal / management process indicated by the law, in cooperation with appropriately licensed waste management companies.

All our discharges, after undergoing appropriate treatment with biological cleaning, are channeled to surface water recipients, without currently being reused by another organism.

Waste utilization

What is the purpose of waste recovery?

Our strong commitment is the continuous improvement of the environmental footprint of all our activities. We examine ways of balancing industrial demands with the protection of the ecosystems at a very early stage.

By adding value to waste and using it as an alternative fuel or material, we have the opportunity to:

  • reduce greenhouse gas emissions by limiting the use of non-renewable natural raw materials and fossil fuels (petroleum, coal etc.),
  • diversify energy sources
  • reduce energy costs, reducing dependence on the traditional fuel market and
  • benefiting the local community by recycling waste that would otherwise have to be disposed.

We consider that the use of alternative materials and the pursuit of industrial ecology could be two separate, but complementary aspects of our core business. We have developed a highly professional resource recovery process for the extraction of potential materials, which can meet the rigorous quality parameters required to be used in the production of cement.

In this manner we prioritise the possibilities of “internal management” of our waste and then follow the disposal / management process indicated by the law in cooperation with appropriately licensed waste management companies / sub-contractors.
