HERACLES Group to meet the healthcare needs of Nisyros residents

True to its commitment to contribute substantially to the real needs of local communities where it operates, HERACLES Group will cover all healthcare needs of Nisyros residents with the Emergency Medical Assistance plan of Interamerican insurance.

Following up on the long tradition of actions to support and strengthen the local community of Nisyros island, Lava SA, a HERACLES Group subsidiary, has taken out a group insurance policy ensuring that all the island’s residents have access to Interamerican's reliable healthcare services and infrastructure. This initiative covers emergency air transport due to sudden illness or accident by fully manned and equipped helicopter. Furthermore, the plan provides unlimited, 24/7 access to the "Health Line 1010” for all Nisyros residents to receive medical advice from the doctors of INTERAMERICAN.

Mr. Christofis Koroneos, Mayor of Nisyros, said "The Municipality of Nisyros and LAVA have a partnership that dates back to the 1950s. The contribution of LAVA to the economic and population sustainability of Nisyros has been considerable over the years. Donations meeting the needs of the island in education and healthcare contribute to social progress.
