“RESPONSIBLE SOURCING”: HERACLES Group Invests in a Sustainable Supply Chain
HERACLES Group reaffirmed its commitment to a sustainable future through a dedicated event held at The Ellinikon, focusing on responsible sourcing. This initiative marks the first targeted effort in the sector to educate and align partners with sustainability principles, highlighting the critical role of the supply chain in the Group’s overall strategy.
The event, titled “Responsible Sourcing / Building the Future of the Supply Chain Together,” emphasized the importance of integrating ESG criteria across every stage of the supply chain. It further strengthened dialogue and collaboration with the Group’s partners, with the aim of creating shared value and shaping a more sustainable future for the construction industry.
During the first part of the event, HERACLES Group executives presented the Group’s ESG strategy, its vision for reducing environmental footprint, and the importance of responsible and sustainable procurement. Particular emphasis was placed on the pivotal role of Health & Safety as a shared commitment to a safe working environment, as well as on the Supplier Code of Ethics and Conduct as a foundation for partnerships built on transparency, accountability, and integrity.
In the second part of the event, Ms. Lena Mavidaki, Head of Strategic Development at CSE (Center for Sustainability & Excellence), facilitated an interactive workshop. Through practical examples and participatory activities, participants had the opportunity to deepen their understanding of sustainability, exchange perspectives, and further strengthen a trust-based relationship that fosters sustainable development.
