HERACLES Group joins forces with "Together for Children” in an auction for a good cause
Thirty works of art from the unique HERACLES G.C.C. collection will be auctioned for the first time on March 13
True to its commitment to stand by the side of fellow citizens and put children in need at the heart of its social responsibility activities, HERACLES Group will offer thirty works of art to “Together for Children” to be sold at auction and use the proceeds to support its social work.
These works are part of the unique HERACLES G.C.C. collection and are granted for the first time. They form part of a collection of 1,400 works, most of which were created to be included in the company’s annual calendars from 1959 to 2009 and bring modern Greek art closer to the daily lives of thousands of people. The thirty works to be auctioned were created by 18 renowned artists and offer a small but substantial sample of important artistic trends of the twentieth-century Greek art.
Before the auction, the art pieces will be exhibited in an art gallery at: 5, Goura Str., Athens. The opening will take place on Thursday, March 9 at 18:00 and the exhibition will be open to the public on Friday 10 and Saturday 11 March from 12:00 to 19:00. The auction will be held on Monday, March 13 at 19:00 in the same venue.
