This project is both a construction and a technical achievement. It is one of the most important cultural projects ever implemented in our country, using raw materials from HERACLES Group.

The projects includes the Greek National Opera, the National Library of Greece and the 210,000 square-metre Stavros Niarchos Park.

Lafarge responded with ultimate success to the need of supplying concrete of all categories, thus adding to its list of projects, a landmark building for Greece. More than 90,000 m3 of concrete from our units in Attica were used from March 2013 to February 2016 in all of the project’s construction phases, providing solutions to the challenges of size, strict time schedules and high quality standards.

It is worth noting that the project’s exposed concrete, which is all injected in situ, is considered one of the most successful internationally, competing with its counterparts at the Whitney Museum of New York.
