New Waterfront of Thessaloniki

The reconstruction of the New Waterfront from the White Tower, the Makedonia Pallas Hotel, the State Theatre of Northern Greece as far as the Concert Hall is an intervention in a total of more than 150,000 m2. This is one of the most important and largest public projects that have been implemented by thLocal Government.

Artevia® Desactive decorative Special Concrete was used for the reconstruction of the waterfront and the coating of all its routes. The reconstruction also created a series of 16 theme parks (theatre, snack bars, etc.) where Artevia® was also used. A total of about 70,000 m2 of the New Waterfront are covered with Artevia® Desactive. Thanks to its unique properties and the combination of durability and high aesthetics, this solution fully met the technical specifications of the project and the expectations of the responsible engineers. The non-slip highly durable surface of Artevia® Desactive, renders the floor completely safe for the user, while remaining comfortable to walk on.
